Horseland Basics

Horseland is a game very different from howrse. Recently the homepage was changed, much to the mature player's disgust, as the home page had been there quite some time. To my knowledge, Horseland began in 1998. The new home page sings the Horseland TV show theme song unless you push the button in the corner to turn it off. It's an interactive menu of Horseland Jr., designed to appeal to children 10 and younger playing that version of the popular game.

Horseland also has dogs on it. Every breed you can think of and more, some not existing like the Irish Mustang and some duplicate copies, like the Noric and the Noriker. Unlike Howrse, your horses do not rest and do not age when you don't log on. They continue to age, once a week until they are 21 and can be retired. They aren't trained by the hour and fill up stars - instead it is a much slower and complicated process called Show Training. You have to enter horses in shows every day, or every few days depending on the program you use, if one at all! Another harder, more restricted way is called Point Training. This method uses tickets, which can only be purchased - 30 a month for dogs and horses - and are used on the animal to give them 50 points per ticket.
